Von is a London-based illustrator and artist who’s great at developing a mix of both traditional and digital works.  At IDK, we are as enthusiastic as Von in creating fine graphics that are both detailed and abstract.

See how the brush strokes appear tumultuous; yet remain very appealing and remarkable?

In designing, people look up to what an artist can offer or how exceptional his or her work is from other artists.  As a design studio, we take this challenge as an inspiration to provide innovative “art works” that we can truly be proud of.

  • Summer.

It’s the time of the year when the sun shines the brightest and the skies are clear. Everyone has his own take on summer. For me, summer is about the simple things: a day at the beach with family or friends; ice cream, halu-halo, or other pampalamig to cool an otherwise blistering day; quality and play times with loved ones . . . ah, summer is definitely my favorite time of the year, next to Christmas.

Talking about things summer, IDK just had its summer outing/team building last Friday at the Virgin Beach Resort in Laiya, Batangas. I can say that even though our trip was only for a day, I had so much fun and enjoyed every moment of it. First of all, the place was perfect. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The activity I enjoyed the most was the conduct of the games we all prepared. We had a blast laughing at some of the silly questions and moments in the games. I also enjoyed the bonding moments and all the stories shared during our trip. This trip is memorable to me because it is the first one I had during work, and I got to know more about my IDK family.

  • Slow down.

In our rushaholic world today–unfinished paper works, project deadlines, endless meetings–we sometimes forget to pay attention to the simple details of life that happen all around us.

When we took this photo, it dawned on us that sometimes we should slow things down and live in the moment, let go of our overpopulated subconsciousness, breathe, and enjoy the bits of rapture that come. Life does not have to be a daily race against time; by going too fast we can actually miss the bittersweet memories that the universe has to offer.

The world can function without us for a little while, it’s a good thing to pause and savor experiences more fully. After all, we are not machines that can run seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.

Who doesn’t enjoy swimming around, floating, and basking in the sun? Seeing colorful sea creatures, while playing in the water, anyone would feel just like a child. It gives a euphoric feeling that most people crave.

At IDK, we admire how the photographer captured this image in a striking way—by framing the subject using an “odd perspective.” If you look closely, its dark, deep, almost brooding composition transports you to an “otherworldly” place.

Maybe it’s because the photographer likes to see life in a different way. Maybe he is trying to convey life’s depth and how, at times, we need to take risks just to get a hold of happiness.
